CARTAGO, Costa RicaNon-profit tour operator Tropical Adventures has just released details of its  eight-week Costa Rica summer volunteer program.  Each week will have a different project focus.  Participants may choose to participate in from two to all eight weeks of projects.  In addition to approximately 25 hours weekly of volunteering, guests will enjoy adventure activities and sightseeing, such such as a zip-line trip through the jungle canopy or touring Arenal Volcano and area hot springs.  

The trips are $2495 per person for two weeks and $1195 for each additional week.  All packages include accommodations, three meals daily, round-trip ground airport (SHO) transportation, country information and orientation, project training, in-country support, tours, medical insurance, and the volunteer program.

The projects are:
Week One: Hojancha Elementary School & Daycare Center
Week Two: Monte Alto Natural Reserve
Week Three: Camaronal Sea Turtle Project
Week Four: Wildlife Rescue Center
Week Five: Arenal Volcano National Park
Week Six: Bambu Cultural Center
Week Seven: Bambu Retirement Home and Elementary School
Week Eight: Puerto Viejo / Cocles Elementary School
