A Pub & Grub trip featuring micro brews from Full Sail Brewery is set for June 24-26 and a Women’s Whitewater School will be offered on June 17-21.

“The Rogue River has always been a popular vacation get-away, but with our new theme trips, we’ve added a new attraction to an already exhilarating adventure,” comments Rogue River Journeys’ General Manager Jim Ritter.

Partnering with Full Sail Brewing based in Hood River, Oregon, the outfitter is running a three-day rafting trip on the Rogue River that will feature award winning brews and traditional pub fare. Evenings will be spent at a historic lodge along the Rogue River and will feature beer tastings accompanied by traditional brew pub dinners. The trip launches on June 26 and the cost per person is $995.

Another special theme offering is a women’s rafting clinic scheduled for June 17. The five-day clinic is designed to teach women the skills necessary to raft rivers like the Rogue in confidence. Professional women guides who have a wide range of experience rafting western rivers will provide instruction. The focus will be on learning whitewater navigation, river safety and camp procedures.

“The clinic is designed for women who wish to become commercial rafting guides or are interested in learning the skills necessary to run their own boats on private trips” says Deb Meymarian, the course lead instructor. She continued, “with rapids ranging from Class II to Class IV, the Rogue is the ideal for learning whitewater skills.”

In additional to these theme trips, Rogue River Journeys offers four-day rafting vacations on the Rogue from mid-June through September. The Rogue is within driving distance of all major cities in California and Oregon, making it an easily reached vacation destination.
